Goodwill Industries Teams Up with MobileCause for Text-to-Give Program

Donors to Goodwill Industries now have the option of texting contributions to support job training and career placement in the area. The new Text-To-Give program was launched by Goodwill Industries International along with Mobile Cause. By simply texting GOODWILL 49418 to 85944, a $10 donation will support job training and career placement in the Grand Rapids area.

“This new texting program provides a new donating option for our supporters,” said spokeswoman Jill Wallace. “It’s also another way for us to engage a younger demographic who may be more familiar with texting programs and have an interest in giving back to the community.”

Donated goods are accepted at all 14 retail stores throughout the area. The following newly remodeled Goodwill Stores feature drive-through donation areas to provide easier access for customers: 29th Street, 54th Street, Alpine, Lowell, Ionia, Plainfield and Standale. Monetary donations are accepted through the text program and online at www.goodwillgr.org.
