WirelessDevNet.com Press Release
Los Angeles, CA, February 3, 2011- Mobile giving technology pioneer and leader, MobileCause today announced Verizon as the newest sponsor of the 2nd Annual Innogive Conference on March 16 in Washington, DC. Verizon Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Verizon, through a generous grant, will allow people from 100 nonprofits organizations to attend. Organizations must apply by February 15th in order to receive the award at: http://www.innogive.org/scholarship.html
Verizon Foundation President, Rose Stuckey Kirk will open the conference with her keynote speech at 8:30AM on March 16th, 2011, and will discuss Verizon’s efforts to support nonprofit organizations and address critical social issues. Verizon has led the way in introducing mobile giving to the marketplace and has formed partnerships with non-profit organizations focusing on social issues that impact the everyday lives of the members in the community. “At Verizon, we’re committed to using our technology and our resources to bring about positive, lasting change to communities of greatest need, “ said Kirk. “The Verizon Foundation is proud to be a part of the Innogive Conference, which provides valuable information to help nonprofit organizations leverage mobile technology to enhance their philanthropy efforts. The Innogive Conference is co-hosted by MobileCause and NTEN and has become the leading conference where non-profit organizations can participate in discussions surrounding mobile communication, CRM and fundraising tools, best practices implementation, and analyze where the mobile giving sector is going in 2011 and beyond.
“MobileCause is honored to have the Verizon Foundation join us in educating the non-profit community on the merits of the newest and fastest growing fundraising channel - mobile,” states MobileCause CEO, Doug Plank. “Verizon has been at the forefront in advancing the mobile giving platform and we look forward to seeing how we can collectively guide non-profits into the space.”
MobileCause is helping usher a new era of responsibility and transparency in mobile giving through improving the access and quality of reporting and remittance data to non-profits while preserving carrier’s desire to deliver 100 percent of the donation to the charity. MobileCause's new platform achieves this by removing layers between carrier, non-profit and third party intermediaries that exist with other current market providers. The byproduct is a more transparent, vibrant market to the benefit of nonprofits, carriers, and technology providers.
Other featured sponsors include Microsoft, Giving IQ, Mobile Messenger, Ascham Marketing and List Giant among others. Innogive registration is now open at http://www.innogive.org/register.html. Toapply for the scholarship, non-profit organizations must go to http://www.innogive.org/scholarship.html and complete the submission form by February 15, 2010.
