Challenge

Duke Ellington School of the Arts needed an online and mobile solution for class sign-ups, events, and fundraising. They needed an option that could meet the needs of their various departments, offer fundraising growth, and could engage their students. Enter MobileCause who offered a solution.

Solution

Using MobileCause’s customizable online forms, Duke Ellington could now accept mobile and online payments for the first time. In addition, they created customizable online forms for payments and registrations for classes and workshops for everything from show choir to student programs. They also expanded their fundraising efforts with mobile-friendly peer-to-peer fundraising pages allowing students to set-up their own campaigns.

Impact

This resulted in the school raising $265,931 from 2,001 donors to date, allowing more underserved students to have the chance to learn and develop their artistic skills. They continue to see growth and a positive fulfillment rate averaging at 60% with the help of automated reminders on pledges.

Duke Ellington School of the Arts

Duke Ellington School of the Arts guides 9th to 12th grade students through a full academic course of study and an arts major: Dance, Literary Media and Communications, Museum Studies, Instrumental or Vocal Music, Theatre, Technical Design and Production, or Visual Arts. The school nurtures and inspires passion for the arts in talented students who might not otherwise have an opportunity to develop their artistic skills.
