Thank you for your help! It worked. People loved watching the thermometer rise. We raised $16,000 in 25 minutes. Our goal was $10,000.

Challenge

Habitat Humanity of Greater Albuquerque knew they wanted to begin supplementing their traditional fundraising methods with modern methods. For their Raising the Roof fundraising event, they wanted to raise $10,000 so low-income families could own simple, affordable homes. This led them to look for a digital fundraising service that could fit their needs.

Solution

With MobileCause, Habitat could incorporate new technology like easy online giving, mobile giving via text message keyword, and an event thermometer to support their event email campaigns and event program. Putting together an integrated, cross-channel strategy allowed Habitat for Humanity to maximize their results and keep overhead low.

Impact

Within 25 minutes, they exceeded their event fundraising goal and gained $16,000 in donations. They successfully captured 90 pledges from 175 attendees with the help of an exciting moment of giving featuring a rising thermometer and donor names displayed in real time. The impact of those pledges will last a lifetime for the new homeowners who will now receive an affordable housing option.
