Using MobileCause has been an easier and more streamlined way to collect donations at our events.

– Elyse Freed, Communications Manager

The Jewish Federation of Greater Houston was having difficulty engaging a younger giving demographic. The Jewish Federation knew that there was more support in the community but was unsure about how to mobilize volunteer engagement among this unique group.

MobileCause stepped in and mobilized their fundraising efforts. The campaign began with the setup of a text-to-give campaign the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston’s “The Big Gig with Seth Meyers” event. Although the comedian and talk show host was sure to bring in a crowd, the logistics of how to get young volunteer engagement was complex. A MobileCause solution was set to make sure that the whole crowd was satisfied—they were impressed by the technology but mostly by how easy it was to give!

2,000 supporters, 408 of which subscribed to receive updates going forward, turned out for this great event which ran incredibly smoothly because no paper or pencils were needed to collect donations, although they were still an option. The Jewish Federation of Greater Houston raised more than $50,000 during this event from online donations alone! This enabled them to further support the Houston Community and more.
