Challenge

Striving for the best is something that characterizes a top tier university as well as its students and faculty. The University of Notre Dame held an annual alumni reunion dinner to collect donations and it wanted to strive for more: more donations, more donors, and more engagement.

Solution

Finding a service that offers online fundraising services can be daunting but this university decisively chose MobileCause. A text-to-give campaign was set up as well as a subscription campaign that text messaged daily prayers to subscribers. Forms (social media, email, text, and more) were created separately so that data tracking was available for each resource. After working with MobileCause’s dedicated support team, the event was set and ready for success.

Impact

The campaign was a great success as the university was able to greatly increase donations and engage their alumni donor base. This university was able to capture 844 subscribers for their alumni association. They enjoyed the services so much that they soon began setting up crowdfunding and subscription campaigns to engage students, one of which became the Notre Dame Streak campaign that raised $21,981, more than double its goal of $10,000.

The University of Notre Dame

The University of Notre Dame is a Catholic academic community of higher learning prides itself on being an environment of teaching and learning that fosters the development in its students of those disciplined habits of mind, body, and spirit that characterize educated, skilled, and free human beings.
