Challenge

The Supportive Housing Communities (SHC) was holding their annual spring luncheon once again. This time they needed to make donating a much easier process as well as help the table captains, supporters who were in charge of recruiting attendees (crowdfunding), to keep track of donations and donors.

Solution

MobileCause helped initiate a a crowdfunding solution for their 99 table captains. Each captain was given their own landing page they could personalize and promote to collect donations before and during the event. The crowdfunding pages could be used as tool to share information about the luncheon as well as a method to collect donations easily. Donors had the option to donate online or via text, both before the event and during the event. All the donations were tallied on their individual pages and illustrated their overall fundraising effort.

Impact

With the implementation of crowdfunding, the 99 table captains were able to engage a total of 403 donors. By mobilizing these advocates to share with their network prior to the event they had raised over $170,000 of its $215,000 goal before the event took place. The response to the during the event was just as positive, with SHC raising an additional $60,000 putting them $15,000 over their goal!
